A Surprise Visit

Our esteemed guests were Brett Giroir (far left), assistant secretary for health at the Department of Health and Human Services, and U. S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams (far right). They came to NIH to present us with awards of appreciation for our ongoing support of the U.S. Health Service Commissioned Corps. Officers in the Corps serve in a wide range of public health specialties within federal agencies, including NIH. Credit: HHS
