I had a fine trip on October 10, 2019 to Worcester, MA. It included a visit to the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Here I was met by Terence Flotte (left), dean of the School of Medicine, and Michael Collins (right), the school’s chancellor. We were en route to attend the Pincus Memorial Lecture, delivered by Jeffrey Gordon of Washington University, St. Louis. While in town, I also delivered the keynote address for the 34th Annual Meeting of the Worcester Regional Research Bureau. The bureau serves the public interest of Greater Worcester by conducting independent research and analysis of public policy issues to promote informed public debate and decision-making.
